Gulf Coast Village Foundation raises more than $3,400 for Gulf Coast Village’s The Village Chapel Haiti mission trip
The Gulf Coast Village Foundation, with the help of Gulf Coast Village residents and employees and community supporters, has raised more than $3,400 to support the Village of Hope mission trip to Haiti. Village of Hope is a Christian fundraising organization committed to supporting programs and ministries that promote excellence in education, spiritual growth and primary health care of Haitians in need.
Gulf Coast Village and Volunteers of America Director of Spiritual Services Pastor Tom Hafer will be taking a one week trip, July 27-Aug. 2 with a fellow team of missionaries, including his two daughters, to minister and deliver much needed clinical care and medicines to the citizens of Village of Hope in Gaunthier, Haiti, the poorest nation in the western hemisphere. This is Hafer’s second mission trip to Haiti. Following the earthquake of 2010, Hafer and team were on the first commercial airliner allowed into Port-au-Prince to bring relief to Haiti.
